Once upon a time, politics and public debate were not whispered behind closed doors, but argued loudly in the town square. Citizens gathered, grievances were aired, and those in power were made to answer for their actions under the watchful eye of the people.

These gatherings were equal parts spectacle and accountability— a chance for communities to demand answers, challenge authority, and have their voices truly heard.

Today, such open forums have all but vanished.

But we believe it’s time to bring them back.
